Welcome to Bennett's Creek Landing!  Our unique, family-friendly community is conveniently located off of Route 17 in Suffolk, Virginia, bounded on the north by the Nansemond River and the east by Bennett's Creek.
 
Our neighborhood of 127 unique, custom-built homes welcomes all individuals and families.  Homeowners have access to a Community Pier, a Community Pool, and waterfront Clubhouse as well as a members-only Marina.
 
Having a home in Bennett's Creek Landing puts you minutes away from I-664, making all of the Hampton Roads cities easily accessible.  Parks, recreation, shopping and medical facilities are nearby.  Our community is professionally managed by Diamond Management and a Board of Directors elected annually by Homeowners.

Summary of Councilwoman Wright Discussion

Councilwoman Ebony Wright and several members of the City's management team attended the February Board of Directors Meeting.
 
Specific items discussed at Homeowners' requests were Route 17 (traffic, speed, volume and the potential for a traffic light) and the process/timeline for installation of city sewer service.  Details of the discussion follow in the Long Text.

Traffic and Speed Studies

Based on input from the Community regarding the speed of traffic on Rt. 17, Public Works and the Police Department are conducting studies.
 
Be aware that if the speed study reveals a significant speeding issue, increased enforcement is likely.
